The Paper Lantern Lit Fall Intensive daylong workshop is perfect for YA and Middle-Grade writers at any stage in the writing process. Whether you've just come up with a brilliant “spark” for a novel or you have a completed manuscript languishing in a dusty drawer, the PLL Story Architects will present you with the essential tools for cultivating your unique voice and developing your concept into a well-crafted full-length novel.

PLL’s daylong seminar takes a two-fold approach: we mentor and inspire writers through the brainstorming and plotting process, and also prepare them for the next steps: acquiring an agent, navigating the publishing experience, and tackling social media challenges. The full-day intensive will include:
  • Hands-on courses in concept, plotting, character work, the development of voice, each led by a different Paper Lantern Lit editor.
    -  The morning session will focus on Concept and Plotting, while the afternoon session will concentrate on Voice and Social Media.)
  • An intimate workshop for writing exercises, in which writers will have a chance to receive responses and critiques from their peers and by a Paper Lantern Lit editor
  • A keynote speech from New York Times-bestselling author Lauren Oliver
….And much more!
Registration will close on September 20th, 2013 at midnight. You must be over 18 to enroll.
