Throwback Thursday: The Body of Christopher Creed

Throwback Thursday is a new feature at Reading Lark. We'll still be doing some Book Boyfriend posts and Book BFF posts on Thursdays as well, but the larks wanted a little variety on Thursdays. Throwback Thursday will allow us to celebrate some of the reads we loved way back when. . .

I recall reading this book in a very short period of time, then thinking about it for weeks. Christopher Creed was one of those kids that no one really cared about until they couldn't find him. The narrator, Torey, deals with his own shame and guilt about how he treated Chris by trying to find him. Along the way, he discovers a lot of truth about the superficiality of much of the high school social hierarchy, and what it is to be honorable and kind.

When Christopher Creed, the class freak and whipping boy, suddenly disappears without a trace, everyone speculates on what could have happened to him. Soon fingers begin pointing, and several lives are changed forever.
